Our disco hire is a complete mobile disco: an experienced DJ, a powered PA on stands, LED lighting and a lit booth, delivered, set up and packed away. We don't do dry hire (equipment without a DJ). Prices start from £450 and are quoted per event.
What is included in our disco hire
"Disco hire" means different things to different people. For us it means the whole package, run by someone who has played Pacha, Turnmills and Scala:
- The DJ. Martin plays the whole night and reads the room as it goes.
- The sound. Powered speakers on stands, scaled to your room, played from Pioneer CDJs and turntables.
- The lights. LED lighting and a lit DJ booth. Enough to make a room feel like a party without turning it into a light show.
- Delivery, setup and pack-down. Handled start to finish.
- Safety and paperwork. All kit PAT tested, full public liability insurance, documents sent to your venue on request.
Disco hire or equipment hire?
If you are searching for disco equipment to run yourself (speakers, lights or a disco ball on their own), that is dry hire, and it is not what we offer. If you want the party to take care of itself, with someone watching the floor and choosing the next record, that is what we do.
A mobile disco that doesn't sound like one
A lot of people hear "mobile disco" and think of the same forty songs in the same order. Our roots are in disco, house, soul and funk, played properly, alongside indie, pop, rock and classics when the room wants them. The difference shows most in the gaps: the record that bridges a Motown floor-filler to a house track without half the room sitting down.
What events we bring the disco to
- Wedding discos, UK and abroad.
- Birthday parties at home, in a hall, a pub function room or a venue.
- Anniversary parties.
- Office and Christmas parties.
- Boat parties, with a compact rig for tight spaces.
Space and power
A standard setup needs a corner of the room for the booth and two speakers on stands, and access to mains power near where we set up. For small rooms and boats we scale the rig down. If you are unsure whether your space works, send us a photo or the venue name and we'll tell you.
Disco hire prices
Disco hire starts from £450. The quote depends on how long we play, where the event is, the size of the room and the date. There is no separate charge for the lights or setup: they are part of the package.
