What a corporate event needs from a DJ
A company party has an awkward job to do. It has to work for people who don't usually socialise together, in a room booked for its capacity rather than its atmosphere, often with speeches or an awards segment in the middle. The DJ's job is to make that feel like a night out. That means knowing when to stay in the background and when to take over.
- Arrivals and drinks. Soul, disco and funk at a level that lets people talk.
- Dinner. Low and unobtrusive, or off entirely if you have other entertainment.
- Speeches and awards. Tell us if you need a microphone for speeches or music cues for winners, and we'll plan it with your venue.
- The party. Records the whole room knows first, then wherever the floor wants to go.
Christmas party DJ
December is the busiest month for office parties, and the best dates go early. We are used to the pattern of a Christmas party: a slow start, a sudden rush to the floor after dinner, and a crowd that ranges from the graduate intake to the board. Product launches and brand events
For launches, the music is part of how the brand comes across. We'll talk through the tone you want beforehand and keep the volume and energy right for the room: present enough to give the night a pulse, never so loud that people can't talk to the guests you invited them to meet.
Awards nights
Awards nights run to a script. We work from your running order, coordinate with your host or production team on cues, and switch from ceremony to party the moment the last award is handed out.
Working with venues and event managers
Corporate venues ask for paperwork and we have it ready: all equipment is PAT tested and we carry full public liability insurance, sent straight to your venue or event manager on request. We work within load-in windows, sound limits and finish times, and if the venue has a house system we'll plug into it.
